'Identity and perception has been a running commentary in our household since my children were little. I observe my youngest sons current evolution marked by ink presentations and piercings. The perception of tattooed bodies has changed greatly over the ages from both a societal and cultural perspective. Today body inking is fashionable. My son’s first tattoo was of an image he created in his final year of high school. Ink has progressively migrated over his torso to embrace subjects that are close to his current beliefs, imagery reflecting his developing environment and those that mimic graphics of bygone eras." – REBECCA PIERCE  'Lang Ink Becomes You – Perception Versus the Individual' 153 x 102cm acrylic paint, graphite, ink, fine points, markers and oil sticks $ 10,500.00

"I have wanted to create a body of work that resonates with being in stillness. I’ve been hibernating for the last while reflecting on my mindset. Taking time. Reprogramming. Through the practice of painting I have been practising stillness. In surrendering to the process of painting and to feelings of the heart and not the mind I have been able to create a body of work that resonates with the idea that if we allow ourselves to switch off from the madness around us there is a sweet stillness waiting for us in everything." – KATHERINE WOOD's 'Under A Fleeting Sky' 100 x 120cmoil and mixed media on canvas
