"Before I created The Kiss, I had been thinking about the appalling treatment of women in societies all around the world – their lack of equal pay, lack of affordable childcare facilities, lack of corporate and political opportunities at the highest level, lack of safety from violent partners and lack of protection from the violation of rape. And then we heard of Mr Harvey Weinstein. And others. And others. All of this is not right. So I distorted the usual warmth of a kiss into the grabbing of a lower lip to symbolise how painful it is that half the world’s population is being treated not as she should.” – GERALD CURTIN    'The Kiss' 76.5 x 76.5cm image size, 96.5cm x 96.5cm framed Digital photograph printed with pigment inks on Canson 310gsm photo rag archival paper framed $ 900.00 Unframed and custom size editions also available

“My work is concerned with the conflict between a subject’s internal narratives and their external manifestations. Using distortion, subtle exaggeration and careful rendering, I hope to both capture the friction between these opposing realities and create a synthetic representation beyond them.” – MARIA PETROVA   'Invisible Mirror'  – 76 x 55cm image size, 86 x 65cm framed size pen on paper $ 1,450.00 with FREE SHIPPING Australia Wide

"The majority of these paintings are from a series called ‘A New World’ that I finished a few months before the pandemic began…The guardian figures wear the uniforms of the colonist invaders as a metaphor for transformation of a violent and materialistic culture. They have taken the power and are creating a new world” – ZOM OSBORNE   'Allies' 65 x 70cm acrylic on wood, please contact the gallery to view a full catalogue of Zom's works or visit our website for more!    #animalart
