JOAN McKAy is an Australian scratchboard artist based in Canberra. Joan holds a signature membership of scratchboard art at the International Scratchboard Society of Artists and she also tutors scratchboard at Nature Art Lab. Joan cares for injured and orphaned Australian wildlife and has a strong interest in the welfare of vulnerable species, including mountain pygmy possums, bettongs and quolls.

The goal was to capture a time gone by and evoke a sense of nostalgia in the viewer” – Kathryn Gallagher.
