SAM HOPKINS 'Interdependence' 47 x 45 x 40cm Corten Steel and Granite Working alongside and mentored by senior sculptor Johannes Pannekoek has enabled Hopkins to develop his own works and on a grander scale. Hopkins has received multiple awards, including the WA Sculpture Scholarship at Sculpture by The Sea Cottesloe 2020 and he continues to exhibit across Australia. #contemporarysculpture

This work reflects the anxieties that surrounds the human condition, oneself, and one’s relation to the world. Humans have a need to create meaning from their lives, and the absurdity of the world and their own existence leaves them in a state of despair and anxiety. These ideas are investigated in this work through dark yet comical renderings.” – Delia #pinkart
