Kathryn's recent trip to America influenced and gave lots of inspiration to her upcoming exhibition of work titled 'Bye Bye Miss American Pie.' EXHIBITION OPENING EVENT 2-4pm Sat 12th November. NIKI McDONALD is most commonly known for her contemporary tapestries but her practice also incorporates painting. Niki uses the tools and techniques of domesticity for urban cheek and sustained self-expression. She has explored all things textiles and has a Bachelor of Creative Arts with a major in Textiles. "These works are reminiscent of a bygone era. When we stayed in the sun all day, lathering our bodies with baby oil and ate lemonade icy poles. The car would be overloaded with kids and our legs would stick to the vinyl seat because of the heat. You would want to have a seat by the window so you could roll it down to feel the breeze against your skin. These works show an innocent and carefree time and place" – ELISE JUDD
