This image was recently snapped by Kathryn Gallagher of some of the brightly coloured food stands found at Venice Beach in the US. Kathryn's recent trip to America influenced and gave lots of inspiration to her upcoming exhibition of work titled 'Bye Bye Miss American Pie.' EXHIBITION OPENING EVENT 2-4pm Sat 12th November. Kathryn will be in the gallery along with some American style food, drinks and music to enjoy!

This new body of work explores America in the 50 and 60's from New York and Las Vegas to LA.  Please join us for the Opening Event 2-4pm Saturday 12th of November. American style drinks, cocktail frankfurt's and chocolate bars including Hershey's will be available for you while you enjoy music from the 50's and Kathryn's exciting new paintings on display. NIKI McDONALD is most commonly known for her contemporary tapestries but her practice also incorporates painting. Niki uses the tools and techniques of domesticity for urban cheek and sustained self-expression. She has explored all things textiles and has a Bachelor of Creative Arts with a major in Textiles.
