NIKI McDONALD is most commonly known for her contemporary tapestries but her practice also incorporates painting. Niki uses the tools and techniques of domesticity for urban cheek and sustained self-expression. She has explored all things textiles and has a Bachelor of Creative Arts with a major in Textiles. Artist REBECCA PIERCE in her studio, which has now crept onto the kitchen bench and any other free surface she can find as she works on pieces for her upcoming solo exhibition 'All Is Not As It Appears' opening night event 5-7pm Friday 14th of October !  "The forms in my work are often in the act of becoming, changing, evolving or resisting. The diversity of medium, colour and texture is in an attempt to heighten these states of flux. Katherine creates places of calm and tranquillity, a world of sweeping skies and vast endless horizons. These meditative scenes are often juxtaposed with turbulent clouds and dramatic storms.
