KATHRYN GALLAGHER ‘Bye-Bye, Miss American Pie EXHIBITION OPENING 2-4pm Saturday 12th November Kathryn in attendance with retro music, food and drinks also being served inspired by Kathryn’s latest body of work.
Kathryn’s Pop Realism paintings draw on the pulsating energy of Las Vegas, freeze frames of iconic Hollywood cinema, recognisable signage and advertisements and celebrity, all delivered within the realm of ‘Pop’. Sometimes the viewer is drawn into a discourse that pits originality, consumerism, high art, and entertainment against one another with the result often a nod to nostalgia.
KATHRYN GALLAGHER captures in her new painting ‘Rock and Cliff’ the iconic duo Cliff Booth and Rick Dalton played by Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio from Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 film ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’.
