‘Harbour life’ is an observational visual diary depicting time spent in Port Stephens, Newcastle and Sydney harbours. The artworks capture the artists’ response to the natural and built environment. Observational studies utilise sketches and photography, Megan will often collage snapshots in time together to construct a narrative. The artist’s painting process commences with the application of a strong background, multiple thin and textural layers are overlayed, creating depth and a heightened sense of energy and movement.
