Michael Williamson

Michael Williamson’s work is a tribute to Michael’s journey and quest within his life and art practice. Michael, having avoided art at high school became, immersed in his practice after a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia which led him to the Pine Street Creative Arts Centre and later on to Gymea TAFE. Michael’s unique works, featuring hi-key colours and glossy finish, are often multi-faceted.

Michael’s inspiration is drawn from his thoughts and dreams which may be distorted, as he see things slightly differently to others. Another stimulus is the use of emotions such as sadness, envy, anger, greed and loss.
