A professional lighting designer for interior and exterior spaces, West is applying these skills to sculptural form by creating three-dimensional works that heighten our experience and appreciation of light. She draws from her knowledge of Light by considering how her works can react, exaggerate, and celebrate their properties in different viewpoints.

By making and playing with her ideas, she is always creating prototypes and exploring ways these conceptual ideas can be brought to life.

She worked and studied overseas and is now based in Sydney permanently.

Artist Statement

West’s work is created as a celebration of light and colour. Featuring dichroic material that ﬁlters different wavelengths of light allowing only certain colours to pass through while reﬂecting others into spectacular hues.
