We are excited for NIKI McDONALD to be participating in Sydney Craft Week with a window exhibition at tjg. Sydney Craft Week is about celebrating creativity and the handmade in all its forms. This festival creates the opportunity for the whole community to engage with crafts, experience the benefits of making, and purchase local handmade work. Niki's wall hanging tapestries and three-dimensional works will be on display in the Tramway Lane windows of traffic jam galleries and online via our website from the 8th – 17th of October. We also have free to take home Niki McDonald postcards which can be found in our newly installed decal holder placed just outside the gallery doors.

These women were willing to risk judgement by zealously tapping into their passions and beliefs. Niki likes to think that the figures represented are plotting and scheming their way to an autonomous and expressive future, that they are quietly changing the common thread, stitch by stitch, for generations of women to come.
