The laughing kookaburra is native to Australia and is a member of the kingfisher family. Kookaburra’s have a recognisable dark brown eye-stripe through their faces and have wonderful coloured feathers of off-white, brown and blue. Kookaburra’s are probably most famous for their iconic ‘laughing’ bird song. This painting is oil on canvas and the white background continues around the sides of the canvas which has a 4cm profile depth.
